  • City to unveil Handmaid’s Tale walking tour and exclusive exhibits

    The City of Cambridge invites fans of The Handmaid’s Tale to Under His Eye: The Gilead Experience – a self-guided tour of filming locations with exhibits featuring original film props and items on loan from our partners at Take 5 Productions. The tour offers visitors the chance to explore streets and locations where the award-winning show was filmed and showcases Cambridge’s leading role in the popular series.

  • DEVELOPMENT NOTICE - Public Meeting - 155 Guelph Avenue The City has received a Zoning By-law Amendment application to facilitate changes to the draft approved Plan of Subdivision to permit a residential development with 160 residential units whereas 188 units are permitted, a stormwater management pond and 2510m² of amenity area. The revisions to the draft plan propose to consolidate multiple blocks into one block for the creation of a future condominium.
  • DEVELOPMENT NOTICE - Public Meeting - 165 Cherry Blossom Road The City has received an Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment application to re-designate subject lands from Future Urban Reserve to Low/Medium Density Residential and rezone from Agriculture(A1) to Residential One (R1) to permit single detached dwellings with site-specific provisions. A Public Meeting for this application will be held on Tuesday November 4th, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Old City Hall, Council Chambers, located at 46 Dickson Street.

  • City Hall & Council Chambers Reopening October 14

    The City of Cambridge will reopen full public access to Council Chambers and City Hall beginning Tuesday, October 14, following the conclusion of a police investigation earlier today which examined persistent disruptive behaviour of a member of the public. The ongoing incidents included threating remarks, inappropriate conduct on City property, aggressively pursuing contact with staff and Council and gaining access to restricted areas of City buildings more than once.

  • City of Cambridge to host Cambridge-Germany business networking reception

    The City of Cambridge is inviting local businesses with German roots to participate in an exclusive Cambridge–Germany business networking reception on Wednesday, October 15, following the Cambridge Oktoberfest festivities. Her Worship Jan Liggett, Mayor of Cambridge, Matthias Luttenberg, German Ambassador to Canada, and Connie Cody, Member of Parliament will be in attendance alongside Cambridge-based companies with German connections.

  • Thanksgiving Holiday Hours City-run facilities will have modified hours during the holidays. City Hall and Admin Buildings Cambridge City Hall offices will be closed Monday, Oct.
  • TRAIL REPAIR NOTICE - Brewster Trail (Hespeler Woodlot) This path/trail will be closed briefly within one to five days and may cause a temporary disruption to path/trail use, traffic, parking, waste removal and/or services. Closure to begin Thursday October 9th, 2025/Friday October 10th, 2025.
  • Cambridge Fire bringing home safety awareness to residents this fall

    This fall, the Cambridge Fire Department may be knocking on your door. Starting in October, firefighters from all six stations will launch the Residential Fire and Life Safety Program, visiting 3,000 homes across the city to promote fire safety.
