Cambridge Centre for the Arts invites visitors to explore the works of two unique artists this September

The Cambridge Centre for the Arts has unveiled a new exhibition this month, Screen Time by Laura Heaney and Seen/Unseen by Kendra Lightfoot, on display now through October 3. 

Admission is free and visitors can also meet the artists at an opening reception on Saturday, September 19 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.  

Known for her detailed, lifelike drawings, Laura Heaney draws inspiration from historical candlelit paintings. Using coloured pencil rather than oil paint, she puts a modern twist on a classic approach and encourages viewers to rethink what fine art can be. 

Kendra Lightfoot developed her watercolour painting through online classes during the pandemic and has developed a highly skilled, technical approach. Her Seen/Unseen series celebrates the simple beauty of everyday objects, using light and texture and careful observation to reveal the stories hidden in ordinary moments.
