The City of Cambridge is developing a new Strategic Plan to help shape the future of our city. From September through November 2026, the City will offer a variety of opportunities for residents to share their ideas and opinions.
We want to make it easy for everyone to participate. You can get involved through in-person events, online surveys, targeted sessions for specific groups, and activities offered through existing City programs. Events will be held at various times and locations across Cambridge to help reduce barriers and ensure more people can participate.
Your feedback will help guide future decisions, priorities, and investments in our community. We hope you will take this opportunity to ensure the experiences and needs of residents, businesses, and community partners are reflected in the conversation. As a valued member of our community, your ideas and experiences are important. We encourage you to get involved and help shape Cambridge's future.

In-Person Community Focus Sessions
In-Person Community Focus Sessions will be scheduled for November.
We are looking for residents to participate in a community conversation to help shape the future of our city. These sessions will bring together community service partners to share insights, identify emerging needs, and discuss opportunities to strengthen support for residents across Cambridge.

In April 2024, Cambridge City Council approved the 2024-2026 Strategic Plan - Cambridge Connected, setting a plan in motion to implement priorities that reflect Cambridge’s most pressing needs and biggest opportunities over the next three years. The 2024-2026 Strategic Plan is a continuation of the priorities identified in the 2020-2023 Plan, which was informed by extensive community engagement.
The City’s Strategic Plan is made up of a Vision, Mission, Values and identifies goals, objectives and 13 strategic actions. Through this plan we are investing in three main goal areas of People, Place, and Prosperity.

We will emphasize the importance of sustainability, leadership, collaboration, transparency and engagement as we deliver service excellence and promote pride of place.
