Cambridge Fire Department takes part in annual 9/11 memorial stair climb
Tonight, members of the Cambridge Fire Department will take part in the fourth annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Crunch Fitness, joining fellow first responders and community members to honour the firefighters, police officers and emergency personnel who lost their lives during the September 11 attacks.
Participants will climb 2,071 steps, representing the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Each step serves as a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice and dedication shown by those who answered the call that day.
The event is free to attend and offers an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance. Crunch Fitness will host a silent auction in support of the Cambridge Professional Fire Fighters' Association (CPFFA) Basket Fund, which helps provide support to local families during the Christmas season. The Cambridge Fire Department will also be accepting monetary donations throughout the evening for the CPFFA Basket Fund.
Join us this evening, Friday, September 11, at 5 p.m. at 150 Holiday Inn Drive as we remember, reflect and support the firefighters who continue to serve our community every day.
