Program and Service Providers
Waterloo Region Small Business Centre
The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre provides guidance and resources for those interested in starting or growing a business. Youth can access workshops, training, one‑on‑one consultations, funding information and a youth entrepreneurship program called "Summer Company" that takes place during the summer months.
Starling Community Services is a not‑for‑profit organization that provides mental health supports and employment programs for community members. Starling focuses on strengthening well‑being and helping young people access the supports they need to thrive in their communities.
Starling is an Employment Ontario service providers based in Cambridge.
Cambridge Career Connections has provided employment and training services to Cambridge and North Dumfries since 1982.
Cambridge Career Connections is also an Employment Ontario service provider, and provides employment-related support to job seekers, employers and educators.
The YMCA of Three Rivers provides programs that support youth development, health and community connection. The YMCA focuses on helping youth build skills, confidence and strong social networks.

Kinbridge Community Association
Kinbridge Community Association offers a wide range of community programs focused on youth engagement, learning and wellness. Youth get access to educational supports, recreational activities, leadership development and community connections. Programs are designed to be inclusive and accessible.
YouthForce is a program provided by Kinbridge, and employs youth and young adults from Cambridge and the surrounding areas.
Argus Residence for Young People
Argus is an innovative, award-winning charity located in Cambridge, Ontario. Argus’ vision is for everyone to have a place to call home and opportunities to thrive.
Uptown Thrift is a charity thrift store operated by Argus that sells quality, refurbished, repurposed and Upcycled goods. Located at 742 King Street East, Cambridge, Uptown Thrift is a job creation social enterprise which focuses on the sale of good quality, reusable items. 100% of store proceeds are used to create youth employment.
EmployNext connects job seekers with employment opportunities, career coaching and skills development programs. Youth can receive job search support, resume help, training opportunities and connections to local employers. The platform is designed to support pathways into meaningful work.
The Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin is a key partner in supporting our local workforce development. FindYourJob.ca - a tool created by the Workforce Planning Board, aims to assist members of the public with locating job opportunities, including youth.

Waterloo Region Youth Impact Survey
The 2026 Youth Impact Survey is now live. Hosted by the Children and Youth Planning Table, the survey provides an opportunity to hear directly from young people in the Waterloo Region.
