Galt Arena Elevator Construction

Please be advised the passenger lift at the Galt Arena Gardens will be decommissioned as of Friday, January 2, 2026 for construction of the new elevator. This means there will be no elevator access to the second level of the building until the new elevator has been installed in March 2026.

There is limited accessible seating available on the main level, with some additional spots that will require individuals to be able to climb up to three steps.

Please accept our sincere apologies to anyone affected by this news. We thank you for your patience as we continue to make improvements to this century-old arena

Outdoor Ice Rinks

We are currently accepting applications for volunteer-operated outdoor rinks. Please call 519-623-1340 or email servicecambridge@cambridge.ca for more information or to apply.

There are a number of volunteer-run outdoor natural ice rinks in the city. They open each winter based off weather conditions and volunteer support. These rinks don't have artificial refrigeration, so temperatures must be consistently cold in order for them to operate.

We thank all the volunteers who maintain these outdoor rinks.
