Snow Event extended until Saturday, January 17 at 7 a.m.

Based on current and expected weather conditions, the City of Cambridge is extending the current Snow Event until Saturday, January 17 at 7 a.m.

This means:

  • An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
  • Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall. Snow should not be shoveled onto the road.
  • Please wait 36 hours after the snow event is over to report a problem area.

City snowplows are continuing to clear roads. They do so based on provincial guidelines and a priority schedule with priority roads cleared first and residential roads cleared last. Residential roads are typically not salted, so snowpack will remain on the surface.
