Snow Event extended until Friday, January 9 at 6 p.m.

Due to ongoing efforts to clear residential streets that still have a significant amount of snow, ice and slush the City of Cambridge is extending the current Snow Event until Friday, January 9 at 6 p.m.

This means:

  • An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
  • Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall. Snow and slush should not be shoveled onto the road.
  • Please wait 36 hours after the snow event is over to report a problem area.

As crews continue working to clear streets and storm drains, it’s greatly appreciated if residents can clear storm drains near their property to help with drainage - especially with warmer weather and rain in the forecast for Friday.
