Snow Event Declared starting Wednesday, February 25 at 7 a.m.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the City of Cambridge has declared a Snow Event beginning Wednesday, February 25 at 7 a.m.

The Snow Event is in effect for 24 hours from the start time.

This means:

• An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
• As a reminder, from January 1 to March 15 a separate overnight parking ban is also in place from 2:30 to 6 a.m.
• Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall. Snow should not be shoveled onto the road.
• Please wait 36 hours after the snow event is over to report a problem area.

City snowplows clear roads based on provincial guidelines and a priority schedule with priority roads cleared first and residential roads cleared last. Residential roads are typically not salted, so snowpack may remain on the surface.
