Snow Event Declared starting Monday, December 29 at 12 p.m.
The City of Cambridge is declaring a Snow Event - on street parking ban, beginning Monday, Dec. 29 at 12 p.m.
The Snow Event is in effect for 24 hours from the start time.
This means:
- An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
- Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall. Snow should not be shoveled onto the road.
- Please wait 36 hours after the snow event is over to report a problem area.
City snowplows will be clearing roads. They do so based on provincial guidelines and a priority schedule with priority roads cleared first and residential roads cleared last. Residential roads are typically not salted, so snowpack will remain on the surface.
