Cambridge, Ontario. (September 12, 2025) The City of Cambridge is proud to announce the grand opening of the newly renovated Preston Memorial Auditorium and invites the community to join the festivities on Saturday, September 27, to see how the transformation will better serve residents and visitors to the facility.
“This modernized space is set to become a hub of activity in the city and reflects our commitment to preserving our heritage and enhancing spaces for future generations to enjoy,” said Mayor Jan Liggett. “This is especially meaningful for the Cambridge Rivuletters, who finally have a home arena built with them in mind. It’s been a long time coming, but together we’ve made it a reality. I, along with Council, look forward to welcoming the community back into this revitalized facility and would like to congratulate the project team on a job well done.”
The special celebration marks the official reopening of the facility and will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, self-guided tours, activities such as face-painting, inflatables, and games for the kids, a Cambridge Rivulettes Home Opener game, and food trucks to purchase a snack. Local sports organizations will also be on site to showcase their programs and share how community members can get involved.
