Watermain cleaning program begins in Preston Sept. 15

Watermain cleaning in the Preston area will begin on Monday, September 15 through to mid-October as part of the City's regular Watermain Cleaning Program.

The City of Cambridge cleans watermains on a regular basis in order to remove accumulated material and maintain drinking water quality. The program aims to optimize water quality, reducing the likelihood of discoloured water entering your home.  

During the watermain cleaning period, area residents may experience a temporary reduction in water pressure, some discoloured water and short-term water loss. If you live in the Preston area, watch for a door hanger notice that will be placed on your door a few days before work begins on your street.
