Waddle on down to Goose on the Grand

Get ready for a quacking good time: a brand-new event is landing at the Mill Race Park this Sunday, June 14, and everyone’s invited. Goose on the Grand is bringing big summer energy to the riverfront from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with live music, tasty treats, interactive fun, and plenty of space to kick back and soak it all in. Snap a photo with the 18-foot inflatable goose or waddle over to Mother Goose story time for some laid-back family fun.

The day will also see the official debut of the Cambridge Geese, a flock of five larger-than-life sculptures hand-painted by local artists. Each goose highlights a different part of our community, brought to life through colour and creativity — and these five are just the start! More geese will pop up across the city over the coming months.

Don’t miss the main event at 1 p.m., when 1,400 rubber ducks are launched from Park Hill Bridge and race down the Grand River to Main Street Bridge. Whether you’re cheering from the sidelines or hoping your duck brings home a win, this race is guaranteed to make waves. So, grab your flock and head down to Mill Race Park. Don’t duck out on one of the most fun starts to summer yet!

The event will proceed, rain or shine. Details and race tickets at cambridge.ca/goose
