Upcoming Filming Notification - Sunday, May 18, 2025
The Economic Development team is excited to welcome Kestrel, a film production company, to our city from Sunday, May 18, 2025, to Thursday, May 22, 2025. The film crews will be set up in the areas of Main Street and Water Street in Cambridge.
Affected Locations:
- Main Street between Water Street and Ainslie Street
- Intersection of Water Street and Main Street
- Water Street North Parking Lot
- Wellington South Parking Lot
- Churchill Park Pavilion lot
Anticipated Impacts: There will be intermittent traffic controls along Main Street, Water Street, and surrounding streets. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained, but intermittent delays may occur.
Parking: Technical parking will be in the north section of Water Street North Parking Lot (42 spaces) and the south section of Wellington South Parking Lot (36 spaces). Churchill Park Pavilion Parking Lot (30 spaces).
Additional Filming Details:
- Preparation: Sunday, May 18 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday, May 19 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Filming Dates: Tuesday, May 20 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Wednesday, May 21 from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Wrap: Thursday, May 22 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 23 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Special Advisories: Filming will include lighting cranes, drones, pyrotechnics, electronic gunfire, large crowd scenes, and explosions. Exterior scenes may feature graphic content.

- Main Street between Water Street and Ainslie Street: Monday, May 19 at 9:00 AM to Thursday, May 22 at 12:00 AM
- Intersection of Water Street and Main Street: Monday, May 19 at 9:00 AM to Wednesday, May 21 at 11:59 PM
Intermittent Traffic Stoppages (3 minutes max, outside rush hours):
- Intersection of Ainslie Street & Main Street
- Intersection of Main Street & Wellington Street
Any intermittent traffic stoppages/control will be conducted under the safe supervision of the Waterloo Regional Police Service.
