New Exhibition 'Subject to Change' opens at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts

The Cambridge Centre for the Arts invites residents to explore ‘Subject to Change,’ a new exhibition by artist Jessica Penney, on display now through August 21, 2026. 

The public is also invited to meet the artist at a free opening reception on Wednesday, July 29 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

Featuring a collection of watercolour paintings, the exhibition explores the space between the familiar and the unexpected. Penny uses watercolour in a way that embraces unexpected results, allowing water and pigment to move naturally across the page. In this way, she creates unique shapes and images that encourage viewers to see something different each time and to wander beyond expectation.
