City to host Public Works Open House on Saturday, May 23

As part of National Public Works Week (May 17 to 23), the City of Cambridge invites residents to visit the Bishop Street Operations Centre for a family-friendly Open House on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Stop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to explore the vehicles and equipment that keep Cambridge moving. You can chat with staff, climb into a snowplow or garbage truck, and enjoy interactive demonstrations and activities for children.

Admission is free, and donations to the Cambridge Food Bank are welcome.

From the water that comes into our homes to the wastewater that leaves them, and from the roads we travel to the parks we enjoy, the City’s Infrastructure Services team plays a key role in supporting a safe and thriving community. We are grateful for their ongoing dedication and service to our growing city.
