City plans to launch new 24/7 by-law reporting line through Service Cambridge

Starting Monday, June 22, residents will have a simpler way to report by-law concerns.

The City of Cambridge is introducing a new 24/7 phone reporting option through Service Cambridge, giving residents direct access to By-law dispatch at any time of day. This will improve response coordination for common by-law concerns such as noise complaints, fireworks, and parking issues.

Currently, residents needing to report active by-law concerns outside regular hours are required to call the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) non-emergency line. With the introduction of a dedicated by-law reporting line through WRPS, calls related specifically to by-law enforcement will now be separated from other police matters, helping ensure faster, more efficient service.

How to Report By-law Concerns
• New (effective June 22): Call Service Cambridge (519-623-1340) for 24/7 connection to By-law dispatch
• To report non-urgent by-law concerns, visit cambridge.ca/bylaws
• Police non-emergency matters: call 519-570-9777
• Emergencies: Call 9-1-1

Residents are encouraged to use the appropriate channels to ensure their concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
