City launches Older Adult Programs survey at annual Active Living Fair

The City hosted its annual Active Living Fair on October 1, welcoming more than 400 Cambridge residents who came to learn about programs and services for older adults in the community.

The event included lunch and a keynote speaker, followed by a trade show where visitors could explore booths and speak with representatives from more than 60 service organizations. The annual fair connects older adults and caregivers in Cambridge with critical services, programs and opportunities to stay socially and recreationally active in their community.

At the fair, the City launched a new Older Adult Programs survey inviting older adults in Cambridge, as well as other residents, to share their experiences, feedback and ideas about the City’s older adult programs and 50+ centres. The survey will be available online, by phone and in person at any City 50+ centre through November 15. The City is also offering four focus group sessions for people who want to provide more detailed feedback:

  • Tuesday, October 20, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the William E Pautler Centre

  • Wednesday, October 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ted Wake Centre

  • Thursday, October 29, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the David Durward Centre

  • Thursday, October 29, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Allan Reuter Centre
