Applications are open to be part of Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night!
The City is inviting artists, community groups, schools, businesses, designers, makers, and creative innovators to submit proposals for Phil Kline's Unsilent Night 2026, taking place on Friday, November 27, 2026, as part of Winterfest.
During Unsilent Night, participants carry and play sections of composer Phil Kline's iconic work as they move through downtown Galt. Complementing this immersive soundscape, illuminated art installations, performances, and creative activations animate the downtown core and create a memorable winter experience for thousands of attendees. Organizers are seeking imaginative, accessible, and engaging light-based installations and activations to help create a memorable winter experience for thousands of attendees.
Applications are welcome from professional and emerging artists, collectives, community organizations, schools, neighbourhood groups, and anyone with a creative concept. Formal artistic training is not required. Selected projects will receive compensation and be showcased along the event route in Downtown Galt.
The application deadline is Friday, September 25, 2026.
