2027 Community Grants applications open Sept. 30

Applications open for the 2027 Community Grants Program tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30. This program provides funding to not-for-profit or volunteer organizations in Cambridge that aim to improve the life of residents. The money can be used for start up funding, training and development, or special projects.

The City is hosting two virtual information sessions to go over the application process, cover key information needed to apply, and answer questions about the grant program and applications. The sessions are one hour in length, on the following dates:

• October 19, 2026, 12 p.m.
• November 18, 2026, 6:30 p.m.

In 2026 a total of $349,800 was given out to successful applicants. Some of the funded projects included support for people impacted by critical illness, expansion of community events, and making sure students have access to food at school.
