 Bus

92% of Cambridge residents live within walking distance of 30-minute transit service. Ask your employer about joining TravelWise (free 2-year membership for Cambridge businesses) to recieve 15% off GRT transit passes.

Grand River Transit (GRT) provides local bus service in the Region of Waterloo, including the city of Cambridge. Our main bus station is the Ainslie Street Transit Terminal at 35 Ainslie Street South in downtown Cambridge.

Go Transit offers bus service to the Greater Toronto Area. Go buses stop in the Cambridge SmartCentre on Hespeler Road near Highway 401. Go Bus Route 25 provides service from Kitchener to Mississauga.

Coach Canada also offer bus service from Cambridge to other cities.

 Carpool/Rideshare

Reduce traffic, save $ and improve air quality by sharing your ride. There are two MTO carpool lots in Cambridge located adjacent to the 401 at Townline Road and at Homer Watson/Fountain St. 

The GoTravelWise online tool offers employees of a TravelWise organization a carpool-matching feature to find a carpool partner to carpool/rideshare with. Users of the GoTravelWise tool can also log their trips where they can track the number of trips made, total distance, estimated amount of money saved, estimated amount of emissions avoided, and estimated number of calories burned, tracking the overall impact of their commutes.

 

The Region of Waterloo is currently offering free two-year TravelWise Memberships to workplaces located in Cambridge!

 Train
The Kitchener VIA and GO Station is the closest train station to the City of Cambridge, located at 126 Weber Street West in downtown Kitchener.

VIA Rail Canada trains travel from this station to London and Toronto. GO Trains travel to and from the Greater Toronto Area. All train routes include several stops along the way.
