Other development process requirements
The permit applicant is responsible for ensuring that they submit all required information to the Building Division when applying for a building permit. The Division may also require additional information to process a building permit.
Other requirements may include:
- Part 9 Commitment Form, signed by the professional engineers and/or architects involved with the project (structures less than 600 square metres)
- Part 3 Commitment Form, signed by the professional engineers and/or architects involved with the project (structures greater than 600 square metres)
- Two copies of a report prepared by a qualified designer, if you're proposing a septic system
- Verification from the Ministry of the Environment that an appropriate application has been made, if you're installing a spray booth or dust collector
- Approval from the Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) or the Ministry of Transportation, depending on the location of your proposed construction
