Things to do this week in Cambridge
What a weekend we had Cambridge! Hundreds of residents and visitors came together across the city to celebrate community. From connecting with friends and neighbours at the Hespeler Reunion to cheering on World Cup soccer at the Gaslight District, the city was buzzing with activity.
The fun continues this week with free events throughout the city:
Tuesday
World Cup Watch Party at Gaslight District Square, France vs Spain 3 p.m.
The Lego Batman Movie at Gaslight District Square, 7 p.m.
Wednesday
Preston Towne Market in Central Park, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Music in the Atrium at City Hall – the Jack Wyndham Jazz Trio, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
World Cup Watch Party at Gaslight District Square, England vs Argentina 3 p.m.
Cambridge Summer Live! Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, City Hall Civic Square, 6:30 p.m.
Friday
Hespeler Village Market, 11 Tannery Street East, 3 – 7 p.m.
Saturday
Family Fun Day on the Main Street Promenade, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Summer in the Park, Forbes Park, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
World Cup Watch Party at Gaslight District Square, Third Place Game, 5 p.m.
Queen Latin Music on the Main Street Promenade, 6:30 – 10 p.m.
Sunday

Cambridge Summer Live! Rum Runners playing jazz and swing music in Forbes Park, 7 p.m.
Don’t forget, the seasonal road closures are taking place! Main Street is pedestrian only between Ainslie and Water Streets in Downtown Cambridge, and Queen Street between Guelph Avenue and Tannery Streeet in Hespeler is closed to vehicles Fridays from 4 p.m. to Sundays at 6 p.m. These pedestrian-friendly zones allow for extended patios, pop-up markets and more space to spend time with friends and family.
