Oktoberfest lunch happening tomorrow at City Hall

Dust off your lederhosen, grab your dirndl and bring your appetite to City Hall tomorrow for the annual Oktoberfest lunch, happening in Civic Square beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Residents are invited to join Mayor and Council for an afternoon of food, music and community spirit as part of the region's Oktoberfest celebrations.

City staff and volunteers will be serving up free sausages and sauerkraut, while supplies last, and there will be other festive fun with appearances by KW Oktoberfest favourites Onkel Hans and Tante Frieda.

The Black Forest Band will keep things hopping with Oktoberfest music and there will be a ceremonial keg tapping. While beer will not be served during the event, everyone is encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle or stein to fill up at the free water refill stations, available throughout the afternoon.

Stop by on your lunch break, meet up with friends and enjoy some Oktoberfest cheer.
