Make City Hall your “I Do” venue!

If you're looking for a simple and meaningful place to tie the knot, Historic City Hall is calling. The City of Cambridge offers wedding ceremonies for gatherings of up to fifty guests. Located in the heart of downtown Galt, this beautiful heritage building has been welcoming visitors since 1858. Surrounded by historic architecture, it provides a picture-perfect backdrop for couples looking for a simple, meaningful way to say, “I do.”

One more thing you can check off your wedding to-do list is finding an officiant. Maureen Cromwell has been performing weddings for nine years, performing an incredible 1,128 weddings to date! “Every couple is different,” she says. “The ceremony can be whatever they want it to be.”

Her biggest piece of advice? Arrive early. “Being early helps everyone relax,” says Cromwell. “It gives you time to settle in, greet your guests and enjoy the moment before the ceremony begins.”

Ceremonies can be booked on Mondays (excluding statutory holidays) and Fridays between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Additional times may be available upon request, depending on room availability.

Whether you're planning a simple private ceremony or a celebration surrounded by family and friends, Historic City Hall offers a memorable setting to start your next chapter together.
