Fall into fun: What’s happening in Cambridge

Fall is a great time to get out and explore Cambridge. From community celebrations and seasonal traditions to family friendly events, art exhibitions and the upcoming municipal election. There's plenty to do, see, and experience this October. 

Oktoberfest Lunch  

Join us in Civic Square outside City Hall for a festive Oktoberfest lunch featuring a free sausage and sauerkraut meal (while supplies last), Bavarian music, a keg tapping ceremony, and special appearances by Onkel Hans and Tante Frieda. Support the Cambridge Food Bank by bringing a non-perishable food donation. Proudly part of the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest festivities.

HMCS Parade  

Be part of a meaningful community commemoration honouring the trailblazing women of HMCS CONESTOGA. This year's event celebrates their legacy while recognizing two significant milestones: the 84th anniversary of HMCS CONESTOGA and the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.

23rd Annual Juried Art Exhibit 

Discover inspiring artwork, connect with the local arts community, and celebrate artistic achievement at the 23rd Annual Juried Exhibition. Don't miss the reception and awards celebration on Oct. 17 at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts.

Fall 5 KM Run
Run, walk, and enjoy the views along the Speed River! Starting in Riverside Park, this fast, flat course is perfect for runners of all levels. Every 5K finisher earns a medal, plus a race shirt while supplies last. Fees apply, see website for details.

2026 Municipal Election  

Make your voice count. Vote on or before October 26 in the municipal election and help shape the future of your community.
