Advanced Voting Locations Announced for 2026 Municipal Election

Cast your ballot early with online and in-person advanced voting options


Residents who may be out of town, travelling, or unable to vote on Election Day now have more flexibility to participate in the 2026 Municipal Election. The City has announced its advanced voting opportunities, giving voters a way to cast their ballot before Election Day on Monday, October 26. 

Advanced voting will be available both online and in-person, allowing residents to choose the option that best fits their schedule.

In-Person Advanced Voting Locations

Residents can vote at any advanced voting location, regardless of their ward, during the advanced voting period.

Advanced voting will be offered at:

  • Preston Auditorium – September 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • City Hall – October 6 to 10, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Hespeler Memorial Arena – October 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • On Election Day, residents will be able to vote at any location assigned to their ward.

Online Voting Available 

Residents must be on the Voters’ List to vote online. Eligible voters can update or confirm their information through Elections Ontario’s voter registration portal until August 12. Beginning September 1, voters will be able to update their information directly with the City. More details about this process will be shared in the coming weeks.

The City encourages residents to verify and update their voter information as early as possible to ensure they are eligible for internet voting and receive important election information.
