Councillor Adshade was elected to his first term on Cambridge City Council in 2014, sitting on the Cultural Awards, Cambridge Highland Games committees, the Striking Committee and the Cambridge Sports Task Force.


Councillor Adshade has been teaching with the Waterloo Region District School Board 28 years and is currently teaching at Lutherwood. Much of his career has been working in Special Education with at risk youth in custody.

Community and Civic Activities

Director of Player Personnel for the Cambridge Winter Hawks Junior Hockey Team 2014-15 season but still heavily involved with the organization.

Past and long- time Co-chair of Fair Vole Canada, Waterloo Region.

Heavily involved, both locally and provincially, in political action and public relations with the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario

Served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Association for Students at Risk from 1992-2002.


Coached and/or played with Cambridge Youth Soccer, The Cambridge Badminton Club, local Slo-Pitch Leagues and Hamilton Men's Fastball.

Director of Player Personnel for Cambridge Winter Hawks Junior B Hockey Club.
