Councillor Ermeta was first elected to Cambridge City Council in 2010 and is currently serving his second term. He sits on the Trails Advisory, the Cambridge Arts and Culture Advisory Committee, the Youth Advisory Committees and is the Chair of General Committee.


Councillor Ermeta graduated from St. Benedict Secondary School. Councillor Ermeta received his Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning) from the University of Waterloo. He also received his Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning GIS from Mohawk College.

Community and Civic Activities

Councillor Ermeta is actively involved with the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank, the Cambridge Salvation Army Kettle, the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra and his local church.


He enjoys cycling, hiking, swimming, and theatre in my spare time.


Councillor Ermeta is the eldest of six siblings and has called the North Galt area of Cambridge home for the last 22 years.
