Councillor Ermeta is the eldest of six siblings and has called the North Galt area of Cambridge home for the last 30 years.

After graduating from St. Benedict Secondary School, Nicholas received his Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Honours Planning) from the University of Waterloo, which has led him to several consultation positions throughout Ontario. He also holds a diploma in Urban and Regional Planning GIS from Mohawk College.

When he isn’t enjoying cycling, hiking, photography, swimming and going to the theatre, Councillor Ermeta is actively involved with the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank, the Cambridge Salvation Army Kettle, the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra and his local Church. Nicholas also volunteers his time supporting the Suicide Prevention and Youth Awards Fundraisers as well as helping with Cambridge’s Canada Day festivities.
