Volunteering with the City of Cambridge

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the City of Cambridge. Volunteers are an important part of developing the Cambridge community. We support, facilitate and value the efforts of all our volunteers. There are many volunteer opportunities in the City of Cambridge, including one-time two-hour commitments and weekly commitments on a year-round basis.

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the volunteer application and select which volunteer role you are applying for.  A staff person will be in touch with you regarding the next steps.  Please note there is a separate application for summer camp volunteers.

Friendly Visiting Volunteer

The Friendly Visiting Program is recruiting volunteers to have in-person and/or phone visits with our isolated clients. A weekly visit by phone or in person is all it takes to add joy to someone's day! For more information contact us at wow@cambridge.ca or call 519-623-1340 ext 4820. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Cambridge Celebrates Winterfest Volunteer

Multiple volunteer roles are available for Cambridge Celebrates Winterfest (formerly Christmas in Cambridge) between Nov 25 and Dec 31, 2022.   The minimum age to volunteer is 13 years of age. Most events take place outside so please dress warmly. Volunteer roles include; site (assist with setup, take down, keep site clean), costumed characters/mascot (interact with children, pose for pictures), event helpers and information booth.
