Waterloo Region has moved into the Red-Control zone as of February 16, 2021, as part of a cautious and gradual return to the Ontario colour- coded response framework. The City of Cambridge continues to work together with Public Health to review the provincial regulations and update changes accordingly for municipal services, operations and programs.

How to register online for a drop-in program (registration for all drop-in programs is required).
Having trouble setting up your online registration for your drop-in program(s)? We have set up a phone line to provide online registration support for older adults. Please call (519) 623-1340 ext 4735 and staff will be taking calls between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. If staff are unable to take your call please be sure to leave your name, phone number and a brief message and our support team will call you back as soon as possible.

You must meet any age requirements by the first session/class of a program, unless otherwise stated. |
Refund policy |
We realize that sometimes patrons sign up for an activity(s) that doesn’t fully meet their expectations. If you realize that your activity registration doesn’t meet your needs, we have developed a comprehensive refund/withdrawal policy that fits many circumstances. Although it is not mandatory for you to do so, it is helpful to us if you let us know your reason for withdrawing from a program. |
Fee assistance |
The City of Cambridge is committed to providing assistance to cover part of the cost of City-run recreation programs and memberships for families and individuals who can't afford to participate in these activities. The Activities For Less program is for permanent Cambridge residents only. Eligibility is based on total household income. Eligible programs - Programs run directly by the City of Cambridge, Parks, Recreation and Culture Division which include:
Ineligible charges - fee assistance cannot be used for manuals, exam fees, program supplies or administrative fees
Please note - If your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail (allow 15-20 business days). Incomplete applications will be returned. Applying for fee assistance does not guarantee approval Fee assistance must be approved before registering and may not be applied after. You must apply annually for Activities for Less. Fee assistance starts from the date of approval for one full year. Subsequent applications are accepted no earlier than 3 weeks prior to the expiry of current approved fee assistance. We handle all inquiries confidentially. Non-residents |
If you live outside of the Cambridge community, a non-resident fee applies in addition to our regular program or membership fees. We calculate this additional fee automatically when you register for a program. If you believe you were charged the non-resident fee incorrectly; you must appeal and produce documentation within 90 days of the registration in order to receive a review and adjustment. |
