There are a number of organizations, groups and programs that help support arts and culture in the City of Cambridge through fundraising, scholarship programs and bursaries.

Grants to Groups program

Every year, the City of Cambridge accepts applications for funding from non-profit organizations. The application process for 2020 grants is now closed.  To apply, please complete the following application and forms A, B and C.

The Grants to Groups program is a Municipal Grants Program to support clubs and organizations, such as:

  • Arts/culture groups
  • Social service agencies
  • Sports/athletics groups
  • Civic and leisure interest groups
  • New community associations

Only volunteer groups and non-profit organizations are eligible for this program. We do not consider requests from individuals. Applications are available by request only beginning mid-September through the Community Services department. The application deadline is mid-November.

Region of Waterloo Arts Fund

The Region of Waterloo Arts Fund is a not-for-profit organization that provides grant funding for:

  • Performing arts
  • Visual arts
  • Literary arts

The organization supports all cities and townships within the Region of Waterloo. Applicants must live and/or work in the Waterloo Region to apply.

The Committee also sponsors the Annual Bernice Adams Memorial Awards, to honour the achievements of individuals and groups in Cambridge in the following categories:

  • Visual Arts
  • Performing Arts
  • Music

Arts Connect Cambridge

Yesterday, we shared this news with applicants. Today, we are letting our community know...

With the April 1st announcement by the City of Cambridge, closing all municipal facilities and continuing cancellations of programs and events until May 4th, our committee has made the difficult decision to cancel this year's Arts Connect Cambridge fundraising event and to suspend the 2020 application process.

Arts Connect Cambridge is a volunteer committee that has been raising funds in support of Cambridge artists and arts groups since Drayton Entertainment opened the Dunfield Theatre, now known as the Hamilton Family Theatre Cambridge, in 2013.

It is our intention to return again next year, and we invite applicants to re-apply to the 2021 deadline when it is announced.

Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
