North Cambridge Secondary Plan
The North Cambridge Secondary Plan area is located in the East Side Lands and consists of approximately 115 hectares (284 acres) of land located north of Middle Block Road, east and south of Riverbank Drive and south of Fairway Road. Fountain Street North runs through the study area. The Secondary Plan was prepared as an amendment to the Cambridge Official Plan and will guide development of these lands.

Virtual public open house (November 25, 2021)
An open house was held to initiate the Secondary Plan and present a draft vision, guiding principles and conceptual schedules for land uses, open space, parks, trails, and road network.

Statutory public meeting (June 28, 2022)
A statutory public meeting was held to introduce the proposed North Cambridge Secondary Plan Official Plan Amendment which took into consideration comments received from the public open house.

Recommendation report (August 6, 2024)
The Proposed Official Plan Amendment for the North Cambridge Secondary Plan was approved by Cambridge Council on August 6, 2024. Notice of Decision was given by the Region on October 24, 2024, and no appeal was received. The Official Plan Amendment for the North Cambridge Secondary Plan came into effect on November 14, 2024.
