Project overview

A new multi-use trail is being constructed along the west side of Conestoga Boulevard between Pinebush Road and Dunbar Road. The new trail will serve cyclists and pedestrians and link residential neighbourhoods with commercial and employment lands along the Conestoga Boulevard corridor. The trail will be a 3 meter wide asphalt trail approximately 2 kilometers in length.

Timeline

Construction of the new multi-use trail is almost complete, it is expected to open in late December with final touches finished Spring 2018.

Progress to date

  • The trail surface has been completed and the trail is now open from Dunbar St to Pinebush Rd.

Upcoming work

  • The final landscaping at the trail edge will be completed in April of 2018.
  • Pavement markings at major driveway crossings will be installed in April of 2018.
