In July 2015, the City of Cambridge hired Dillon Consulting to complete the Growth and Intensification Study. The Study identifies areas within Cambridge ideal for growth because of access to existing and planned infrastructure, such as transit and services. Expected completion of the Study is 2017. 

Secondary plans

The Growth and Intensification Study will include six secondary plans providing policies to:

  • Encourage development opportunities
  • Increase population
  • Increase employment
  • Ensure the character and stability of established residential neighbourhoods and commercial areas are maintained and enhanced
