The City of Cambridge is committed to transparency, accountability and on-going communication with residents. To ensure this, we work with local media to provide important information on City programs, services and other initiatives.

Staff are available to respond to media inquiries during regular operating hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All media inquiries should be directed to corpcomm@cambridge.ca and include the reporter’s contact information and deadline.

Please note: The City of Cambridge will only respond to inquiries made outside business hours if they are related to an immediate emergency or urgent operational matter. Other requests will be addressed during regular business hours.

In celebration of Oktoberfest, Mayor Jan Liggett, Cambridge City Council, and Enbridge invite residents to join them for the annual Cambridge Oktoberfest lunch on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 11:30am – 1:30pm.
Held in Civic Square, outside of City Hall, 50 Dickson St, residents can enjoy a free sausage with sauerkraut (while supplies last), Bavarian music, a keg tapping ceremony, and a visit with KW Oktoberfest mascots Onkel Hans and Tante Frieda.

The City, in partnership with the local RE/MAX Real Estate Centre, is providing free trick-or-treating lawn signs to residents beginning October 18. Water main cleaning program begins in East Galt
The City wishes to advise East Galt residents that the City’s Water Main Cleaning Program will begin September 24 2024, and will end mid-October. The City of Cambridge cleans water mains on a regular basis in order to remove accumulated material and maintain drinking water quality.
