Based on weather conditions, the City of Cambridge is extending the current Snow Event until Thursday, January 1 at noon (12 p.m.)
This means:
An on-street parking ban is in effect. Vehicles should not be parked on any city street at any time for the duration of the snow event. This allows snowplows to clear more efficiently and safely. Vehicles left on the road may be ticketed and/or towed.
Sidewalks should be cleared within 36 hours following the end of snowfall....

The City, in partnership with the GRCA, is continuing to monitor the flooding situation after yesterday’s storm, and additional rainfall this morning. The following areas are still affected:
Clyde Road was closed from the Franklin roundabout to Elgin St due to flooding but has since been reopened.
Riverside Park parking area remains closed.
Soper Park remains closed.
Sports fields remain closed due to saturation of the turf.

The City received a high volume of flood related calls due to the extreme amount of rain experienced earlier today. Calls are generally related to road/property flooding, but staff are also keeping an eye on any calls relating to our ponds. In some instances, stormwater collection systems surcharged and some localized street flooding has been reported.

Heavy rainfall has caused flash flooding in some areas of the city. City of Cambridge Environmental Services staff have been dispatched to impacted areas.
