Cambridge Fire issues city-wide fire ban

With the continuous dry conditions, air quality warnings, active forest fires and no projected significant rainfall forecasted, the City of Cambridge Fire Chief is enacting a burn ban for the City of Cambridge. All open/active burn permits are immediately revoked until further notice. The Fire Chief is acting under the authority of the Ontario Fire Code and City of Cambridge By-law 313-86.

No new permits will be issued or approved until further notice.

Anyone found burning, may be subject to fines as per City by-law and the Ontario Fire Code.
