Program registration on pause to help slow the spread of COVID-19

Posted on Tuesday September 22, 2020

Originally scheduled to start on September 23, registration for non-aquatic recreation programs will be temporarily paused in an effort to help slow COVID-19.  Drop-in programs will still be available.

Staff will continue to monitor drop-in class capacity and implement other temporary measures as needed. Residents are asked to continue to sign up for drop-in classes in advance to help control class sizes.

In addition to the large variety of drop-in classes available at our Recreation Centres, 50+ Centres and the Centre for the Arts, some popular registered programs will now be offered in a drop-in format as well.

The City is committed to keeping the health and safety of the Cambridge community as its top priority. With Public Health indicating that a new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has started, it is more important than ever to follow a safe and cautious approach to providing recreation services.

Visit www.cambridge.ca/recreation to start browsing our drop-in programs. Please note, swimming lessons will still be going forward as scheduled.

We thank the community for your patience and will update if there are further adjustments or changes.
