Water main cleaning program begins in East Galt

The City wishes to advise East Galt residents that the City’s Water Main Cleaning Program will begin September 24 2024, and will end mid-October. The City of Cambridge cleans water mains on a regular basis in order to remove accumulated material and maintain drinking water quality. The program aims to optimize water quality, reducing the likelihood of discoloured water entering your home.

During the water main cleaning period, area residents may experience a temporary reduction in water pressure, some discoloured water and short-term water loss. If you live in the East Galt area, watch for a door hanger notice that will be placed on your door a few days before work begins on your street.
