Enjoy free activities in Cambridge for Family Day

Celebrate Family Day in Cambridge this weekend with family-friendly activities including free swims, arts and crafts, skating and more.

Stop by the W.G. Johnson Centre between 9 a.m. and noon, and the John Dolson Centre from noon to 3 p.m. for free leisure swims, games, and crafts. Hespeler Arena will be open from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for free skating and activities.  

Family Day programs are also running at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts including family rock band, handmade art and succulent gardening. For some pre-Family Day fun, the Cookies and Kids Theatre is showing Macbeth on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. for $5.

Idea Exchange will be hosting Family Day programs at the Clemens Mill location from noon to 4 p.m. on Feb. 17. The programs include virtual reality, making stations, fun math games and the Scott Boyd Magic Show. For more information, visit www.ideaexchange.org.

The Cambridge Farmers’ Market is open Saturday, Feb. 15 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with all the fresh food you need for your Family Day feast.
