City celebrates Family Day with events all weekend

Cambridge, Ontario. (February 15, 2024) – The City of Cambridge is hosting a variety of events and free activities throughout the weekend to extend the Family Day holiday taking place on Monday, February 19, 2024.

“There are so many great family friendly, free events happening this family day weekend,” said Mayor Jan Liggett, “I invite you to participate in one or all of the activities as we celebrate Family Day allowing families to spend quality time together and engage in activities that promote togetherness and connection. Spending time together as a family is not only an enjoyable activity, it also makes us happier and healthier both physically and mentally, which is especially important during the winter months.”

Festivites kick off Saturday, February 17, with the Mayor’s Winter Levee at City Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food trucks, music, family entertainment and activities will be available. Residents can also visit the Cambridge Farmers’ Market, open for regular hours from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a synthetic curling rinks, crafts and hot cider.

Cookies and Kids presents Heath Tarlin who takes the stage at Cambridge Centre for the Arts with a cycle circus performance on Sunday, February 18 at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are avilable for $5 at cambridge.ca/CORAL.
