Help imagine the future of parks in Cambridge
Cambridge, Ontario. (January 31, 2023) –The City of Cambridge is developing a Parks Master Plan to help guide how parks are planned and operated over the next thirty years and we want your feedback.
“As our city continues to grow and change, parks play an important role in that growth,” said Mayor Jan Liggett. “They provide immense benefits both to the health of our environment, and to the mental and physical health of residents in our community.”
“We really want to hear what the community enjoys about parks, what they like and what they’d like to see in terms of things like safety, walking distance, amenities,” said Michael Hausser, Director of Operations for Infrastructure Services. “Engagement with the community will included both surveys and open houses. Questions in the first survey range from the size of parks and amenities within them to maintenance and accessibility.”
Take the Parks Master Plan survey on Engage Cambridge by March 31, 2023.
Public Meetings will be held on March 8 and May 3 so that you can share your thoughts, experiences, and visions for our parks. Public Meetings will be facilitated by our project partner, Dillion Consulting, who specializes in planning, management, engineering and environmental science.
Feedback received will inform the development of a new Parks Master Plan for 2024. This strategic document will guide us to achieve goals for developing and enhancing our Parks now and in the future.
