City to host Public Works Open House Saturday, May 24

Posted on Monday May 05, 2025

As part of National Public Works Week (May 18–24), the City of Cambridge is once again opening the doors of its Bishop Street Operations Centre for a family-friendly Open House on Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Drop by between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a behind-the-scenes look at the vehicles and equipment that help keep the city running. Meet the team, sit behind the wheel of a snow plow or garbage truck, and take part in hands-on demonstrations and kid-friendly activities.

Admission is free, but donations for the Cambridge Food Bank are appreciated.

From the water we drink to the water we flush, the roads we drive on and the parks we visit, the City’s Infrastructure Services team are essential to a sustainable, resilient community and help safeguard our health and wellbeing.  We thank all of them for their tireless commitment to serving our growing community each and every day.
