City offering free accessible trick-or-treat lawn signs this Halloween

Help make this Halloween safe and enjoyable for all trick-or-treaters by being mindful of the various accessibility needs in our community.

The City, in partnership with the local RE/MAX Real Estate Centre, is providing free trick-or-treating lawn signs to residents beginning October 18. By displaying a lawn sign, you are letting trick-or-treaters know that your home is accessible and you’re helping raise awareness around accessibility.

Pick up your free lawn sign from Oct. 18-31, at any of the following locations: 

  • Cambridge City Hall, 50 Dickson Street 
  • John Dolson Centre, 212 South Street 
  • W.G. Johnson Centre, 31 Kribs Street 
  • Lang’s Community Health Centre,1145 Concession Road 
  • RE/MAX Real Estate Centre, 766 Old Hespeler Road 
  • Idea Exchange - Preston, 435 King St. East 
  • Idea Exchange - Queen Square, 1 North Square 
  • Idea Exchange - Old Post Office, 12 Water St. South 
  • Idea Exchange - Hespeler, 5 Tannery St. East 
  • Idea Exchange - Clemens Mill, 50 Saginaw Parkway 

Accessibility tips 

  • place your trick-or-treating station at a location that is easily accessible to all  
  • make your station well-lit for easier visibility 
  • refrain from the use of strobe lights and loud noises which may be alarming for some
