City of Cambridge to host Cambridge-Germany business networking reception

The City of Cambridge is inviting local businesses with German roots to participate in an exclusive Cambridge–Germany business networking reception on Wednesday, October 15, following the Cambridge Oktoberfest festivities.

Her Worship Jan Liggett, Mayor of Cambridge, Matthias Luttenberg, German Ambassador to Canada, and Connie Cody, Member of Parliament will be in attendance alongside Cambridge-based companies with German connections.

The networking reception will take place at the Cambridge Soccer Complex and focus on strengthening local–international business ties, exploring new opportunities for collaboration, and advancing shared economic priorities between Cambridge and Germany.

“This moment to celebrate will help us to foster our economic relationships between our community and German industry leaders who are already part of our local business community,” said Mayor Jan Liggett. “Cambridge has a proud history of innovation and manufacturing excellence, and many of our German-rooted businesses have been critical partners in this success. This networking reception is about celebrating those connections and exploring how we can build even stronger economic bridges for the future.”

Local companies with German roots are encouraged to take part and share their insights.
