Posted on Thursday December 23, 2021
On December 14, 2021, the City of Cambridge received the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting (CAnFR) from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
This award recognized Canadian municipalities that went above and beyond in the preparation of their 2020 financial statements by exceeding the requirements of accounting principles to model transparency and full disclosure.
The City’s commitment to financial stewardship and transparency – a key principle of Cambridge Connected, the Strategic Plan – is highlighted through this accomplishment. It is also demonstrated in the Annual Financial Statements made available to the general public and audited each year by an external independent accounting firm.
