Cambridge, Ontario. (December 23, 2022) A winter storm warning has been issued for Waterloo Region. Blowing snow, flash freezes, heavy snow and damaging winds are expected today and into Saturday. In anticipation of the forecasted weather, and out of an abundance of caution, the City of Cambridge has made the decision to close some services and facilities.

City Administration & Service Cambridge: City Hall remains open until noon including Service Cambridge.

Recreation Centres, facilities, and programs: All recreation centres (including pools and older adult Centres/Seniors Day programs) are closed for regular programming. Arenas will be assessed as the weather unfolds and updates will be provided as information becomes available.

Roads/Winter operations crews: Please continue to use caution and drive according to conditions. Road crews will be applying pre-salt with dry salt or dry salt with brine depending on conditions on primary and secondary roads starting at 7 a.m. Plowing and salting will begin as needed as the weather progresses.
