Storm Update - City service impacts for December 23, 2022
Cambridge, Ontario. (Update as of 11. a.m. December 23, 2022) As City staff continue to monitor weather conditions, to ensure the safety of our residents and staff, the City of Cambridge is providing some additional service updates.
City Administration & Service Cambridge: City Hall remains open until noon for the holiday as planned, including Service Cambridge.
Recreation Centres, facilities, and programs:
- Arenas will close for the remainder of today today and Saturday due to weather. Modified hours are already in place over the holidays. Please check our holiday hours release before you visit our facilities.
- All recreation centres (including pools and older adult centres/Seniors’ Day programs) are closed for regular programming.
Roads/Winter operations crews: Please continue to use caution and drive according to conditions.
Salting of primary, secondary, cemetery roads and sidewalks is underway. Operations response will be adjusted based on weather conditions.

Farmers’ Market – The Cambridge Farmers’ Market will be open on Saturday, December 24. Vendors will open their stalls at their own discretion so it’s possible that some vendors may choose not to open due to the storm. Please check the Farmers’ Market website before you visit.

Our Bylaw team continues to engage with local encampments to provide residents with information about available services and supports. If you observe someone who is in need of shelter, the Cambridge Emergency Shelter at 26 Simcoe Street is available.
