The City of Cambridge is committed to transparency, accountability and on-going communication with residents. To ensure this, we work with local media to provide important information on City programs, services and other initiatives.

Staff are available to respond to media inquiries during regular operating hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All media inquiries should be directed to corpcomm@cambridge.ca and include the reporter’s contact information and deadline.

Please note: The City of Cambridge will only respond to inquiries made outside business hours if they are related to an immediate emergency or urgent operational matter. Other requests will be addressed during regular business hours.

With the continuous dry conditions, air quality warnings, active forest fires and no projected significant rainfall forecasted, the City of Cambridge Fire Chief is enacting a burn ban for the City of Cambridge. All open/active burn permits are immediately revoked until further notice. The Fire Chief is acting under the authority of the Ontario Fire Code and City of Cambridge By-law 313-86.
No new permits will be issued or approved until further notice.

The ‘Xplore Preston’ camp will be run out of 637 King St. East in Preston (formerly RBC) and operate Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for ages 4-5 and 6-12.
